Scheduled To Appear – 8/26

The Country Music Association has announced Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will host the the 43rd Annual CMA Awards, prompting fans all over the world to dance in the streets, sing songs of brotherly love and praise the awards show for making the planet a better place on which to live.

Well, it didn’t exactly go down that way, but the CMA did issue a press release reminding fans this year’s CMA Awards air on ABC Nov. 11. Paisley and Underwood are last year’s CMA Male and Female Vocalist award winners.

Said Paisley:

“I am thrilled to get the chance to co-host the CMAs for a second time with my pal Carrie,” Paisley said. “This year we’ll pull out all the stops, like a miniature poodle balancing act, tightrope walking and a new world record for the number of costume changes by my co-host. Don’t miss it!”

Sure, Paisley’s quote is kind of over the top, but we think Underwood gets the last laugh on this one, saying:

“I regret to inform Brad that I do not have a poodle, and I would appreciate it if he asks me permission before he tries on all my dresses this year. But all kidding aside, I’m really excited to be hosting again this year with my friend, Brad, as we celebrate another wonderful year of Country Music! It’s going to be a great show!”

Huh? Balancing poodles? Paisley wearing Underwood’s dresses? Now that’s entertainment. Which is as good a segue as any to slide into this week’s remaining music-on-TV listings.
