Sexton, who was with Dylan from 1999 to 2000, will rejoin him when he hits the road again October 5 at Seattle’s WaMu Theater, according to Rolling Stone.

Sources began buzzing about the reunion shortly after Sexton joined Dylan on stage at a concert in Texas a few weeks ago.

“I love and respect Bob and am very happy to be reunited with my friend onstage,” Sexton told RS. “I’m starting up with him for the fall tour and will carry on with him from there.”

When questioned about why he’s rejoining Dylan’s band, Sexton offered only this, “I’ve never given an interview about Bob. Ultimately he is my friend, and it’s not my place to talk about his business.”

In addition to being out with Dylan and his band, Sexton will tour and record with fellow Arc Angels Doyle Bramhill III and Chris Layton when Dylan is taking breaks.

“Being a working musician or a producer or anything these days, being a fluctuating business, you gotta work, you gotta shape-shift,” the guitarist explained to RS. “You gotta do whatever it takes. Myself, the Arc Angels, most people I work with, we’re all lifers. It’s what we do. We just keep on going.”

An Arc Angels CD/DVD set is due in October.
