Help For The Hungry

Sheryl Crow, Ben Harper, Good Charlotte’s Benji and Joel Madden and Jonny Lang will team up later this month for a show aimed at raising awareness of domestic hunger.

Rock a Little, Feed a Lot will take place Sept. 29 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles with participation from celebs including David Arquette, Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow.

The evening’s entertainment will be directed by Adam Shankman of “Step Up,” “Hairspray” and “17 Again” fame.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank and Feeding America, the country’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization.

F.A. operates a network of 205 food banks that provide assistance to more than 25 million people annually and supports approximately 63,000 local agencies including food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, after-school programs, Kid Cafes and Backpack programs.

“It is so important for everyone across the country to dare to be conscious and aware of the struggles of those around them – even if those struggles are not the same as their own,” Crow said. “Feeding America does just that, and it’s a great privilege for me to unite with them in their cause.

Tickets, priced from $60 to $100, are available now.
