Follow The Bouncing Check

The Natrona County District Attorney’s Office has charged a concert promoter with check fraud for allegedly writing a bad check to the Steve Miller Band.

Police say 48-year-old Robert Alfred Green never had sufficient funds in his bank account to cover a $90,600 check he wrote to the band for a Nov. 2 concert in Casper, Wyo.

A circuit court judge ruled last week that enough evidence exists for the Scottsdale, Ariz., man to stand trial on the charge.

Police accuse Green of wiring concert funds, including $56,000 from the Casper Events Center, into his account but then transferring it to another account before the band’s check cashed.

An assistant to defense attorney Nick Carter of Gillette said Monday that the defense had no comment on the case.
