Devo’s new partnership with Warner covers all aspects of the band’s career, including “recorded music, touring, merchandising, web services, promotion, e-commerce, sponsorships, licensing and endorsements.”

“We are excited to embark on Devo’s latest sonic subversion with the label that first unleashed us on the unsuspecting public,” the band’s Gerald Casale said.

To celebrate the deal, the label will be re-releasing two of the band’s classic albums – 1978’s Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo! and 1980’s Freedom of Choice – in both deluxe CD and limited-edition colored vinyl versions, as well as a seven-inch vinyl single of “Jocko Homo/Mongoloid” on Nov. 3.

Devo will kick off a run of two-night stands the same day the reissues hit the streets. The back-to-back nights, which launch at L.A.’s Henry Fonda Theatre, will feature performances of both albums in their entirety, with Are We Not Men? on the first night’s set list and Freedom of Choice on the second.

Tickets for most shows go on sale Sept. 18.

Fans (known collectively as Spuds, btw) who buy tickets online for any of the upcoming shows in L.A.; San Francisco; Seattle; Chicago; Washington, D.C.; New York City or Toronto will receive previously unreleased versions of “Whip It,” “It’s Not Right (aka Red Shark)” and “Turn Around.”

Future plans for Devo – which includes original members Gerald and Bob Casale and Mark and Bob Mothersbaugh, as well as drummer Josh Freese (Nine Inch Nails, Weezer, Guns N’ Roses) – include a new studio album next year, followed by a touring calendar packed with festival appearances, a full-on North American tour and visits to Europe, Japan, Australia and South America.
