The fifth annual Johnny Ramone tribute will take place Oct. 3 at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles.

The evening’s highlights include a screening of the 1977 Ramones concert flick “It’s Alive” on the side of the 24 foot mausoleum wall, followed by George Romero’s 1968 cult classic “Night of the Living Dead.” The film, one of Johnny Ramones’ favorites, will be show colorized and in 3D.

On hand for the event will be Johnny’s wife Linda Ramone, Johnny Ramone Army Chief of Staff John Cafiero and band members Tommy Ramone and CJ Ramone.

“It’s very gratifying to see Ramones fans gather together for events like this,” Tommy Ramone said. “It gives us the opportunity to keep the Ramones legacy alive and to share special times together.”

A Ramones art and memorabilia exhibit featuring painting by Dee Dee Ramone, signings by Tommy and CJ and surprise guests round out the night.

Tickets, priced at $10, are available through JohnnyRamone.com. Cemetery gates open at 5:30 p.m. PST.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Johnny Ramone Research Fund at USC Westside Prostate Cancer Center.
