Mraz’s October Freebie

Jason Mraz plays Southern California’s Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre Oct. 11, but you won’t need a wad of cash to buy tickets for this show. In fact, it won’t cost you a single penny to walk through the turnstiles that evening.

That’s because admission is free. However, there is one small catch. It’s gonna cost you if you want a reserved seat for the show – $1.

That’s right. Free admission and a buck for a seat. Another way to put this is lawn is free, pavilion is $1 per.

Oh, and one more thing. No service charges.

Mraz’s special guest for the evening is Brett Dennen. Singer/songwriter/rapper Bushwalla is hosting the show.

“This free show is our way of saying thank you to all our friends in San Diego and Southern California for their incredible support over the past 10 years,” Mraz wrote on his Web site. “We will present the opportunity for San Diego to have a great night of music and sing-alongs with us, and to invite our friends and families and community to join us in supporting some great work being done by charities like Surfrider Foundation, Vh1 Save The Music and San Diego Youth Services.”
