News Flash! MJ Was Healthy
That’s what the Associated Press is reporting today, having obtained a copy of Jackson’s autopsy report made by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
Sure, there were some health issues. He suffered from arthritis in his lower spine and some fingers. Plaque had formed in his leg arteries and his lungs were chronically inflamed.
But his weight – 136 pounds – was acceptable for a 5-foot-9 man, his heart was strong and most of his organs, including his kidneys, were working normally before his sudden death from a pharmaceutical overdose June 25.
“His overall health was fine,” said Dr. Zeev Kain, chairman of the anesthesiology department at the University of California, Irvine after reviewing the autopsy report. “The results are within normal limits.”
Kain also said most of Jackson’s scars seemed to be from plastic surgery while others could have been from needed medical procedures.
What kind of scars? Here’s what AP had to say:
“He had a ¾-inch scar behind his left ear and another apparent scar behind his right ear. He had a scar beside each of his nostrils and another, 4-inch scar on his right shoulder. He had a pair of additional scars about 3-inches long at the base of his neck and smaller scars on his arms and wrist. He also had a small scar in the region of his navel and a 2-inch scar on the right-hand side of his abdomen.”
Oh, and it appears Jackson was going bald at the front of his head and that part of his scalp was artificially darkened, perhaps by tattoos. He also had several cosmetic tattoos on his face, including both eyebrows, under his eyes and around his lips.
Last month the Los Angeles County coroner’s office announced Jackson died from “acute propofol intoxication.” The office also said the standard care of administering the drug, which is an anesthetic used in hospitals, was not met.
At this time the investigation into Jackson’s death appears to be still focused on the pop star’s personal physician – Dr. Conrad Murray. Although Murray has admitted administering propofol to Jackson shortly before he died, the doctor has maintained he did nothing that would have caused Jackson’s death.
