The tour kicks off Nov. 1 at the Pabst Theatre in Milwaukee and concludes Dec. 5 at The State Theatre in Minneapolis.

Additional dates include Massey Hall in Toronto (Nov. 3), House of Blues in New Orleans (Nov. 12), The Wiltern in Los Angeles (Nov. 18), Crystal Ballroom in Portland (Nov. 24), Jeanne Wagner Theatre in Salt Lake City (Nov. 28) and Auditorium Theatre in Chicago (Dec. 3).

Strict Joy is set for release Oct. 27 on ANTI- records. The album is the follow-up to 2007’s Once soundtrack, which earned the duo of Glen Hansard on vocals/guitar and Marketa Irglova on vocals/piano a 2008 Academy Award for Best Original Song.

Strict Joy has already earned praise from the Wall Street Journal, which writes that the release “builds on the couple’s earthy musical chemistry by adding layers, such as the reserved horns on ‘Low Rising,’ a slow burning soul number.”
