Litrell’s Backstreet comrades – Nick Carter, Howie Dorough and AJ McLean – have seen a doctor and are not showing any symptoms. Nevertheless, the doctor prescribed Tamiflu to the group as well as to the boys’ touring party.

At this time three appearances have been canceled – Today’s “Pinktober” Hard Rock Café autograph signing to increase breast cancer awareness, Tuesday’s “CBS Early Show” where the boys were scheduled to perform their latest single “Straight Through My Heart” and the group’s intimate performance at PC Richards downtown NYC.

Litrell sure picked a busy week to get sick. The boys are doing a lot of promo on TV this week and are scheduled to appear on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien” Thursday and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Friday. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see how that pans out.

“We were really looking forward to spending time with our closest fans and friends in NYC and take part of Pinktober, an unbelievable and important program,” Litrell said. “I hope we can come back soon and do everything we can to help.”
