Rushing The NFL

Talk radio pundit Rush Limbaugh confirmed Oct. 6 that he and former Madison Square Garden president/CEO Dave Checketts – who owns the St. Louis Blues NHL team – have made an offer to purchase the St. Louis Rams.

He didn’t mention a price or whether the bid was for all or a majority stake in the team, which is split 60-40 between the children of late owner Georgia Frontiere and Denver billionaire Stan Kroenke.

If Limbaugh is successful in his bid to become an NFL team owner, it’s probably a safe guess his first move probably won’t be to acquire Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb.

The Rams have lost their last 14 games.
