Saadiq To Keep Marchin’

There’s no rest for Raphael Saadiq as the Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter slots four weeks of shows across the U.S. and Canada beginning Nov. 16 in Seattle.

It’s a busy tour to cap a busy year. In addition a lengthy tour in March and April and playing major summer festivals including , , and , Saadiq also worked with Mary J. Blige to co-write and co-produce the title end track, “I Can See In Color,” for the upcoming flick “Precious.”

As mentioned, the “Kings Keep Marchin’ Tour” kicks off in Seattle with Saadiq playing Showbox SoDo Nov. 16. Then it’s on to Portland for a show at McMenamins Crystal Ballroom Nov. 17. Nov. 18 brings the artist to Oakland’s Fox Theater and Nov. 20 is Los Angeles at The Wiltern.

Other stops include Las Vegas at House Of Blues Nov. 21; Dallas at House Of Blues Nov. 24 and Houston at, you guessed it, House Of Blues Nov. 25.

Saadiq will also play Miami, Orlando, Atlanta, Philadelphia, New York City, Baltimore, Washington, Boston, Toronto, Montreal and Chicago before wrapping the tour up in Minneapolis at First Avenue Dec. 16.

Canadian singer/songwriter Anjulie and Janelle Monáe appear on select dates.

Tickets for most shows go on this weekend beginning Friday, although Montreal goes on sale Thursday. Tickets for the Baltimore and Washington shows won’t go up until Oct. 22, and the onsale for Chicago is still to be determined.
