The fall tour kicks off Nov. 16 at Chicago’s Vic Theatre and wraps up Nov. 27 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Toronto.

Additional dates include The Ark in Ann Arbor, Mich. (Nov. 17), Berklee Performance Center in Boston (Nov. 20), Town Hall in New York (Nov. 22), Electric Factory in Philadelphia (Nov. 24) and 9:30 Club in Washington D.C. (Nov. 25).

Banhart’s backing band on the trek will feature Little Joy guitarists Rodrigo Amarante and Noah Georgeson, Priestbird drummer Greg Rogove and The Pleased bassist Luckey Remington, according to Pitchfork.com.

Dec. 12 the psych folk singer-songwriter has plans to play O2 Sheperds Bush Empire in London.

Banhart’s seventh studio album, What Will We Be, is set for release Oct. 27. The album marks his major label debut on Warner Brother Records. His previous two albums, 2007’s Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon and 2005’s Cripple Crow, were released on XL Recordings.
