Stagecoach’s relationship with daytime soap operas has been such a success that the next installment will be sponsored by ABC Daytime.
The California country music fest that dovetails off of Coachella began a relationship last year with soap operas.
ABC Daytime learned that 25 percent of soap opera fans are country music fans so, at the last installment of Stagecoach, several daytime stars were there to introduce acts on the main stage and hold autograph sessions.
As a quid pro quo, Stagecoach got advertising time on ABC.
Next year’s Stagecoach is presented by ABC Daytime and Soapnet.
It takes place April 24-26 in Indio with headliners Keith Urban, Toby Keith, Brooks & Dunn and Sugarland.
Goldenvoice’s show will get help from The Messina Group and Moore Entertainment.
