Obama’s Latin Music Spectacular

The White House is fast becoming one of the hottest music venues in D.C. During the first few months of his administration, President Obama hosted several artists and bands, including Earth, Wind & Fire, Brad Paisley and Stevie Wonder. The executive mansion sizzles Tuesday when the president welcomes some of the biggest names in Latin music.

The next White House music event honors Hispanic music heritage and features performances by Marc Anthony, Pete Escovedo, Gloria Estefan, Jose Feliciano, Thalia, Los Lobos, Tito “El Bambino” and Aventura.

Actor Jimmy Smits, whose “West Wing” character ran for and won the presidency, will also attend the concert.

Not only is it an incredible lineup but the night will also feature a fantastic house band led by Sheila E.

But don’t feel you’re missing out just because you’re not on the Obamas’ invitation list. The concert will be taped for a PBS broadcast scheduled to air Oct. 15. It will also air on Telemundo Oct. 18 and V-me Dec. 25.
