Sugarcane Casino Work To Begin
Pinnacle Entertainment will begin groundwork mid-October on the proposed Sugarcane Bay Casino Resort in Lake Charles, La., as part of a proposed $407 million, tropical-themed complex.
The development, which will feature a 400-room hotel, riverboat casino, 3,000-capacity arena, restaurants and retail shops, will be located next to Pinnacle’s L’Auberge du Lac Casino Resort and both will be connected by a covered walkway.
Casino spokeswoman Kerry Andersen told Pollstar that pile-driving work for Sugarcane Bay begins Oct. 19 and construction will take about two years to complete.
