A Wynn For Garth

Garth Brooks announced the details of his return to live performance in Las Vegas Oct. 15.

As anticipated, Brooks will indeed replace the late Danny Gans at the Encore Theatre at Steve Wynn’s Encore casino, with the first shows Dec. 11-13. Brooks will perform three days a week, twice on Saturday, for 15 weeks out of the year.

The showroom is intimate for Brooks, who packed the Staples Center five times over in one weekend last year but, unlike the $45 ticket at those shows, Brooks has made the uncommon decision to charge the highest ticket price of his career: $125 – itself a reasonably priced ticket for a Vegas show of this size.

The first series after the December debut will be Jan. 1-3. A new set of shows will be announced each quarter.

The first five weeks of shows go on sale Oct. 24 at 8 a.m. Shows through February or March are expected to be announced shortly.
