The fall trek kicks off Oct. 28 at Middle East Downstairs in Cambridge, Mass., and concludes Dec. 18 in their hometown of Athens, Ga., with a show at King Plow Arts Center.

Additional stops include Mohawk Place in Buffalo, N.Y. (Oct. 30), Cannery Ballroom in Nashville (Nov. 5), Tractor Tavern in Seattle (Nov. 14), Troubadour in West Hollywood, Calif. (Nov. 19) and Emo’s in Austin, Texas (Dec. 1).

The Features, The Dead Trees and Mean Creek will be joining The Whigs in rotating support slots.

On tour The Whigs will be showing off new tunes from their upcoming third studio album, In The Dark.  The album, the follow-up to 2008’s Mission Control, is set for an early 2010 release.

The band is offering fans a sneak peak at In The Dark with a free download of the title track.
