U2 On YouTube

Don’t have a ticket to this Sunday’s U2 concert at Pasadena’s Rose Bowl? The band will stream the entire show live on YouTube.

Fans across five continents will have three chances to see it – live plus two replays – available on YouTube as well as the band’s website.

“The band has wanted to do something like this for a long time,” said U2 manager Paul McGuinness. “As we’re filming the LA show, it’s the perfect opportunity to extend the party beyond the stadium. Fans often travel long distances to come to see U2 – this time U2 can go to them, globally.”

The U2/YouTube hookup will be the biggest concert ever streamed live on the video website. Show time is 8:30 p.m. Pacific Time, 4:30 a.m. in Paris and 12:30 p.m. in Tokyo.
