Pepsi A Football Cornerstone
Pepsi has signed on as the fourth cornerstone partner for the under-construction Meadowlands Stadium in E. Rutherford, N.J., set to house the NFL’s New York Giants and New York Jets.
The agreement gives Pepsi exclusive non-alcoholic beverage rights at the stadium and interior and exterior branding and signage at the $1.6 billion new facility.
Facility operator New Meadowlands Stadium Co. divvied up the stadium into four quadrants. Metropolitan Life Insurance bought the first deal and Budweiser bought the second.
Verizon is also a partner at Meadowlands, which is scheduled to open with Bon Jovi May 26-27.
The teams are still seeking a naming rights sponsor for the new stadium.
