Of course, it’s not like Messina has been kicking back and taking it easy. Sure, it’s been five years since her last album, but since then the country music singer / songwriter married and had a son – 10 month old Noah.

Messina’s tour in the western U.S. begins next month in Mesa, Ariz., at the Ikeda Theatre Nov. 5. From there it’s onward to Shiprock, N.M., and the Phil L. Thomas Performing Arts Center Nov. 6. The next night finds her in Pueblo of Acoma, N.M., at the Theatre at Sky City Casino Nov. 7.

Other stops on her November tour include Las Vegas, Modesto, Palm Desert and Lancaster before wrapping it all up with a three night stand in Reno at the Atlantis Hotel Casino-Grand Ballroom Nov. 27-29.

Messina’s upcoming single, “That’s God,” which she wrote with Brent Rader is scheduled for a January release. But that’s just a warm up for her first album in five years – Unmistakable – which lands in stores sometime in the spring.

“The shows have been so much fun because they are totally interactive, from the show itself, to giving away tickets via Twitter prior to the show, to the Internet broadcast following the show,” Messina said. “It is truly all about the fans.”
