Country At Warp Speed

Producer Kevin Lyman, the man behind Vans Warped Tour and Taste of Chaos, has set his sights on country music.

Lyman’s Country Throwdown Tour will feature a widespread roster of all-star and up-and-coming acts from the country side of the charts.

Like Vans and TOC, the festival will also include a full concourse of lifestyle attractions and vendors geared to fans of the genre.

Although no exact routing or venues have been announced, the traveling hoedown is scheduled to take place May 13 – June 20 and will include three stages (main stage and two side stages), as well as the Bluebird Café Tent, which will showcase nine singer/songwriters in an intimate setting during the day and a special stage featuring those same artists at night during main stage set changes.

Artists confirmed for the inaugural outing include Montgomery Gentry, Jamey Johnson, Little Big Town, Jack Ingram, Eric Church, Eli Young Band, Jonathan Singleton & The Grove, Lost Trailers, Ryan Bingham and Emily West. Additional acts will be announced in the coming weeks.

In keeping with Lyman’s philosophy of a great deal for a fair price, prices for tickets, which go on presale in February, are expected to be low.
