The “Ho! Ho! Hoey Rockin Holiday Tour” begins Nov. 20 in Detroit at Blondies. Night No. 2 is Schaumburg, Ill., at City Limits Nov. 21 and then it’s Milwaukee at Vnuk’s Lounge Nov. 22.

Other stops include Des Moines, Kansas City, Council Bluffs, Maryland Heights (MO), Manchester (N.H.); Sellersville, Pa., and five California towns – Arcadia, Riverside, Exeter, Solana Beach and Bakersfield before wrapping in San Juan Capistrano at the Coach House Dec. 19.

Christmastime is special in Hoey-land. Not only does the guitar slinger celebrate the season with holiday CDs, but two of his compositions are featured in Hallmark’s line of musical greeting cards.

The surf-rock guitarist also exemplifies the season of giving by helping charities. With events like his Connecticut Children’s Mental Health Concerts and efforts such as auctioning off guitar lessons given by the maestro himself to support the New Hampshire Food Bank’s “Lend A Helping Can” food drive have helped make a difference in people’s lives. The Marine Corps Toys For Tots program and the Boys & Girls Club in Visalia, Calif., have also benefited from Hoey’s holiday runs.
