Justin Timberlake Gets Restraining Order From Stalker
On Monday a judge ruled in favor of a restraining order against Karen McNeil, who represented herself in court.
McNeil wrote in a court document that she was destined to marry the Grammy Award winning-singer and “to rule” with him. Rule the world? Rule the music business? The stalker didn’t specify.
“Ms McNeil’s ever-increasing, aggressive and harassing conduct are extremely distressing,” Timberlake, who did not show up in court, said in a written declaration, according to the BBC News. “I fear for my personal safety, and that of my family and friends.”
Timberlake described McNeil as an “obsessed and mentally unstable stalker” whom he “does not personally know or have any relationship with.”

The singer was granted a temporary restraining order last month after McNeil showed up at his property for the third time. It appeared McNeil was prepared to stay awhile because she arrived in a taxi full of her belongings, according to the BBC News.
She was subsequently arrested and court filings noted police then placed McNeil in protective psychiatric custody. The filings indicate she may be homeless.
In the middle of Monday’s hearing, Judge David Cunningham III called for a five-minute recess because of an outburst by McNeil following the restraining order ruling.
Outside of the courthouse, McNeil denied trespassing on Timberlake’s property.
“That was all lies. I did not break into Justin’s house. I was let on the property.”
