Elton John Still Under The Weather

Illness has forced Elton John to postpone his upcoming Nov. 14 co-headline appearance with Billy Joel at Oakland’s Oracle Arena.

Turns out John is still feeling the effects of another kind of co-bill – a medical double whammy consisting of an E. coli bacterial infection coupled with a case of the flu.

John first started feeling the flu/E. coli blues two weeks ago, resulting in the artist postponing dates in the U.K. as well as Face2Face shows with Joel in Seattle and Portland.

From EltonJohn.com:

“We regret to announce the postponement of the Elton John/Billy Joel Face2Face concert that was originally scheduled for Saturday, November 14 at the Oracle Arena, Oakland, CA.

Promoter Live Nation and Oracle Arena were informed by management that Elton has been advised by his doctor to postpone this performance due to a serious case of E.-coli bacterial infection and influenza.

Organizers of the event are working to establish a new date. All patrons who have purchased tickets for the Face2Face concert on Saturday November 14 are being asked to hold on to their tickets until more information is available regarding the proposed rescheduled engagement.”

The next date on John’s schedule is a Face2Face performance with Joel at San Jose’s HP Pavilion Nov. 17. For more information, please click here for EltonJohn.com.
