Phish Playing Miami New Year’s Eve

If you’re a Phish fan trying to nail down your New Year’s Eve plans, do we have the tour announcement for you! Phish is ringing in 2010 with a four-night stand in Miami.

The shows take place Dec. 28-31 at AmericanAirlines Arena.

The gigs mark Phish’s first time playing Florida in six years. The last time Phish played the Sunshine State was a Dec. 28 show also at the AmericanAirlines Arena. Before that Phish played Florida back in 1999.

Fans have the chance to reserve tickets to one or more of the Miami shows through Phish Tickets’ online ticketing system now through Nov. 15 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Tickets to the Dec. 28-30 shows will set you back $50 each, plus a $5.40 convenience fee.

Tickets to the Dec. 31 are $60 each, plus a $5.70 convenience fee. Fans can request up to four tickets per show in addition to tickets to more than one show. Fans will be notified by email about their order status prior to the public on-sale date. If the ticket request can be fulfilled, the total amount due will be charged to the fan’s credit card at that time, plus a $10 shipping fee per order. A limited number of tickets are available. Tickets go on sale to the general public Nov. 21 at 10 a.m. EST.

You can also catch Phish on the band’s fall tour, which kicks off Nov. 18 at Cobo Arena in Detroit and wraps up Dec. 5 at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, Va.

Additional dates include two shows at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati (Nov. 20-21), two shows at The Wachovia Center in Philadelphia (Nov. 24-25), two shows at Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y. (Nov. 27-28) and three shows at Madison Square Garden Arena in New York (Dec. 2-4).
