Busking For Beyoncé
A spokeswoman for Trident gum, which is sponsoring both the “Beyonce Buskers” promotion and the singer’s Nov. 15 show at London’s O2 Arena, told the BBC fans must ask if the musicians have any tickets and make a donation for their performance.
“Some people have donated as little as 10p, but others have given up to £10,” the spokeswoman said.
The majority of the tickets for Sunday night’s concert (13,000 in fact) were awarded through a competition in packages of Trident gum that began in April.
A donation to one of the selected buskers will net the lucky benefactor three of the remaining tickets for the show, which marks the first time all of the seats for an O2 show have been given away.
Beyoncé is also scheduled to hit Manchester; Newcastle; Nottingham; Dublin and Belfast, Northern Ireland on her U.K. tour.
