Promoter Richard Nader Dies

Richard Nader, 69, a longtime promoter best known for launching the Rock & Roll Revival concert series, died of complications of Parkinson’s disease Dec. 1 in Long Island, N.Y., according to his family.

Nader, founder of Richard Nader Entertainment, brought classic rock and doo wop acts back to the mainstream market beginning with an event held at Madison Square Garden’s Felt Forum in 1969.

That concert’s success led to a touring show that continues to this day in various incarnations around the country.
