Weiland’s Heavenly Rummage Sale
Weiland is holding an auction to benefit his ArchAngel Organization, which he started when his brother Michael died suddenly in 2007 after a long battle with addiction. Proceeds from the sale will go to Michael’s widow and children.
Besides a signed Stone Temple Pilots guitar, other items in the collection include designer suits and other clothes worn on stage at awards shows and during various public appearances, as well as some “crud” the singer gathered from around his house. Most items are signed by Weiland.
The auction began today at SoftdriveRecords.com/archangel and will last two weeks. Additional items will be placed on sale periodically.
“The overall idea is to grow this into something more, while still helping my brother’s family, and to also reach out and help families who are or have recently been through the same painful and seemingly hopeless situation,” Weiland explained. “For now however, this is what we can and what we are able to do. Have fun with it and know that 100% of the profits are going to help my sister in-law and my nieces Sophie and Claudette.”
