Carey’s Back!

Mariah Carey isn’t wasting any time in 2010. The superstar’s first major tour in three years begins Jan. 2 in Atlantic City.

But that date isn’t the singer’s very next show. That would be New Year’s Eve at Madison Square Garden, meaning she closes out 2009, takes a quick breather and then launches her “Angels Advocate” tour.

After the Jan. 2 opening night of the tour at Atlantic City’s Borgata Event Center, Carey plays two nights – Jan. 15 & 16 – in Mashantucket, Conn., at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods followed by one night in Atlanta at the Fox Theatre Jan. 19.

Other stops include Detroit at the Fox Theatre Jan. 25; Boston at the Wang Theatre Jan. 30; Philadelphia at the Tower Theatre Feb. 1 and Toronto at Air Canada Centre Feb. 9.

Other cities Carey will play include Chicago (Feb. 13), Minneapolis (Feb. 16), Dallas (Feb. 18), Los Angeles (Feb. 23) and Oakland (Feb. 26). Last show on the tour is in Las Vegas at The Pearl Concert Theatre Feb. 27.

Opening act on the tour is new R&B group RydazNrtist, which recently signed with NCredible Entertainment, the label run by Carey’s husband, Nick Cannon.

Of course there’s an album to go with the outing.  Carey’s Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel is the 12th disc in a spectacular career resulting in sales of more than 175 million albums, singles and videos.

Ticket sales begin Dec. 19 and official Carey fan club Honey B. Fly will offer exclusive member pre-sales for all dates. For more information, click here for the Mariah Carey Web site.
