Beyoncé South America Bound
In addition to playing South America, Beyoncé has also slotted a stop on Caribbean island Trinidad. Not a bad way to spend February, eh?
The tour, which launches the first week in February might turn out as a victory lap of sorts for the artist. Beyoncé leads the pack when it comes to Grammy nominations, scoring 10 noms for the 52nd annual awards ceremony, scheduled for Jan. 31 at Los Angeles’ Staples Center.
The “I Am…” world tour begins its South American run Feb. 4 in Florianopolis, Brazil, at Parque Planeta. Sao Paulo is scheduled for Feb. 6 when Beyoncé plays Pacaembu Stadium and Rio hosts the lady Feb. 7 at Maracana Stadium.
Other stops include Salvador, Brazil, at the Parque de Exposicoes Feb. 10; Buenos Aires, Argentina, at the San Isidro Hippodrome Feb. 12; Santiago, Chile, at Arena Movistar Feb. 14 and Lima, Peru, at Explanada del Estadio Monumental Feb. 16. The Trinidad date is at the Port of Spain at Queen’s Park Oval Feb. 18.
