Odds & Ends: Kid Cudi, Charlie Daniels and Mariah Carey

The Charlie Daniels Band cancels dates, Kid Cudi leaves Lady Gaga tour and Mariah Carey is ESPN’s Christmas Day darling.

Kid Cudi Has Left The Tour

Lady Gaga representatives told Pollstar that Kid Cudi is off The Monster Ball tour. The rapper recently got in a dustup with a fan while headlining a gig at a Vancouver, British Columbia, nightclub.

The fisticuffs began after a fan tossed a wallet onto the stage. According to published reports, Cudi picked up the billfold and attempted to find the owner. He then tossed the wallet to whom he thought was the owner, but when he found out he gave it to the wrong person, he jumped into the audience and tried to retrieve it. Punches were thrown and, well, you can guess the rest.

Of course there’s YouTube video.

Cudi’s last performance on the Lady Gaga tour was Dec. 14 in San Francisco. Semi Precious Weapons is extending its time on the tour to cover the dates on which Cudi was scheduled to perform.

Charlie Daniels Band Cancellations

Charlie Daniels Band has canceled its Friday gig in Independence, Mo., at the Independence Events Center and Saturday’s show in Texas, at the Allen Events Center. No reason was given for the sudden change in plans.

However, tonight’s show in St. Charles, Mo., at the Family Arena is still on, according to a venue representative.
