Switchfoot’s Hurricane Tour Keeps Spinning
The tour is in support of the alternative rock band’s seventh studio album, Hello Hurricane. Switchfoot is playing the album, which was released in November, in its entirety along with an assortment of tunes throughout the guys’ career.
The band has partnered up with a local food bank at each stop on the tour and is encouraging fans to bring non-perishable food items to the shows to help out their communities.
After playing Coussoulis Arena in San Bernardino, Calif., this Saturday, the 2010 tour kicks off Jan. 8 with a gig at the Knitting Factory Concert House in Reno, Nev. Dates are on the books through a March 6 performance at the Florida Strawberry Festival in Plant City, Fla.
Additional shows include The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco (Jan. 9), Showbox At The Market in Seattle (Jan. 12), Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver (Jan.13), Garrick Centre in Winnipeg (Jan. 18) and Studio JPR in Montreal (Jan. 23).
On Jan. 30 the Switchfoot takes part in Parachute at Mystery Creek Events Centre in Hamilton, New Zealand along with Family Force 5 and Underoath.
You can also catch the band performing on the “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” Jan. 4.
