Comic Collapses On Stage

Paramedics say a comedian onstage at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts collapsed in the middle of his Dec. 19 Fort Lauderdale, Fla., show.

Comedian Steve Solomon, 63, was released the following day after his afternoon collapse, according to the Miami Herald. He spent the night at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale as a precaution.

Apparently he was feeling no ill affects after recuperating.

“He laughed and said, ‘Oy, if people only knew the Jewish guilt I feel,” publicist Leslie Mann told the Herald. “Jewish guilt lying in Holy Cross – that’s funny.”

Ticket holders received refunds. Solomon was expected to be back on stage performing within a week.
