According to the Detroit News, Gaga’s shows originally scheduled for the Motor City’s Fox Theatre have been moved to the much larger Joe Louis Arena. The dates are the same – Jan. 12-13.

A similar scenario played out in the Windy City. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Gaga’s Chicago Theatre dates – scheduled for Jan. 8-10 – have been moved to the Rosemont Theatre.

Promoter Live Nation cited “production issues” as the cause for venue changes in both cities, but did not go into detail.

However, it won’t be as easy as using the tickets for the old venue for the rescheduled buildings. Fans holding tickets for the original venues will need to exchange them for new ones.

The Detroit News notes that fans who purchased their tickets through the Fox Theatre or Ticketmaster will receive instructions for obtaining refunds and purchasing tickets for the shows now scheduled Joe Louis Arena.

The Chicago Sun-Times relates a similar method of operation, stating that ticket holders have 48 hours to “secure new tickets for the Rosemont Theatre shows,” and that tickets for the Chicago Theatre will not be honored.
