The Orange County Sheriff’s Department made the announcement. Department spokesman Jim Amormino also told reporters it will be several weeks before results of toxicology, microscopic and laboratory tests are completed.

Sullivan’s body was discovered Monday in his Huntington Beach, Calif., home.

“Jimmy was not only one of the world’s best drummers, but more importantly he was our best friend and brother,” reads a statement on the band’s Web site. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy’s family and we hope that you will respect their privacy during this difficult time.”
