Country Crossing Grand Opening Set

Country Crossing isn’t just a new music venue. The $87 million bingo and entertainment complex, described as a “one-of-a-kind entertainment destination resort,” features individual attractions named after many of the country artists appearing during the grand opening celebration. Celebrity theme restaurants include John Anderson’s Cafeteria, Darryl Worley’s Worley Bird Saloon and Lorrie Morgan’s Hot Chicken.

But wait! There’s more! Scheduled to open during Country Crossing’s phase one rollout is George Jones’ Possum Holler Bed & Breakfast, and The Grascals Bluegrass Hollow RV Park. Each artist will participate in the ribbon-cutting events outside their brick-and-mortar namesakes.

The grand opening begins Jan. 15 with Neal McCoy headlining a night featuring performances by Aaron Tippin, Little Texas, Restless Heart, Confederate Railroad and Matt Kennon.

Tracy Lawrence headlines Jan. 16 which also includes performances by Joe Nichols, BlackHawk, Pam Tillis, John Conlee, Houston County and The Grascals, while Jan. 17 begins with LoCash Cowboys and closes with the Commodores. Other artists scheduled to perform include Darryl Worley, Lorrie Morgan, John Anderson, Bellamy Brothers and Blackberry Smoke.

“Our grand opening will be nothing short of spectacular, and we are looking forward to many more great performances in the months and years to come,” said Country Crossing developer Ronnie Gilley who is also known throughout the music biz as the president of Ronnie Gilley Entertainment.

“This is the first time in history that 20 artists, with a combined 120 million record sales and 66 No. 1 hits, will perform in three days at one venue – all free to the public,” Gilley said. “You won’t have to go to a big city anymore to find high-caliber entertainment. We are bringing it right here.”
