It is unclear what or who the Jimmy Page tour would include, but he told Sky News he has new material and intends to take it to the stage in 2010.

More artists for the Show of Peace will be officially announced Jan. 13, but the concert’s Web site has listed a number of major Western headliners who have been “invited,” including Prince, Aerosmith, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, Rob Thomas, Beyoncé, Coldplay, The Black Eyed Peas, Kenny Chesney, Mariah Carey and Justin Timberlake.

The Show of Peace commemorates the 30th anniversary of a cultural exchange agreement between the United States and China.

The concert will not only “promote peace” among countries but also “promote peace with the world” with a dedicated environmental message.

It is reportedly being organized by producer Rick Garson of Las Vegas-based ZZYX Entertainment, who will work with the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Joint US-China Collaboration on Clean Energy, the United Nations’ Pathways of Peace and the Captain Planet Foundation.
