Theatre Producer William May Dies
William May, a longtime theatre producer, died in Melbourne, Australia, Dec. 31 after a recent illness, according to a statement.
May, 56, not only produced more than 40 shows, from Broadway to London’s West End, but most recently was the creative force behind “Walking With Dinosaurs – The Live Experience,” currently touring two productions in North America and Europe.
At the age of 19 he co-managed Samantha Sang, whose hit “Emotion” was co-written by the Bee Gees’ Robin and Barry Gibb in 1977 and redone by Destiny’s Child in 2001.
