The Sept. 21 show is the band’s first U.S. reunion show, marking Pavement’s first U.S. show in nearly 11 years.

To enter the Guess The Track Listing Contest, fans simply have to fill out a form on Matador Records’ Web site detailing which 23 songs they think will make the cut for Quarantine The Past: The Best of Pavement.

A first prize will be awarded for the track listing closest to the actual track listing. The winner will receive a pair of tickets, along with flights and hotel rooms, to see Pavement at Central Park Summerstage in Rumsey Playfield/Central Park. In addition, the winner will also take home a complete set of Pavement Matador 12” vinyl.

A second prize will be awarded for the most imaginative track listing. The second place tracklist will be pressed into a special limited-edition vinyl double LP for Record Store Day (April 17). The winner will receive five copies of the limited-edition vinyl as well as a complete set of Pavement Matador 12” vinyl.

Four runners-up, in either of the two categories, will win complete sets of Pavement Matador 12” vinyl.

Matador has a few clues to help fans get started: The first track is “Gold Soundz,” (A remastered version of the tune is available as a free MP3 on the Matador site.) The label promises that although all 23 tracks were previously released “it definitely digs deeper than the hits.” The tracks are taken from throughout Pavement’s career from 1989 to 1999, representing all five studio albums from 1992’s Slanted and Enchanted through 1999’s Terror Twilight, in addition to the band’s 1992 EP Watery, Domestic. Three pre-Matador songs are included as well as one tune that was originally released on a compilation.

Deadline for the contest is Jan. 19.

Quarantine The Past: The Best of Pavement is set for release March 9. The compilation will be available to purchase as a double LP, CD and a digital album. Fans can receive a 15 percent discount by preordering the album now through Matador’s site.

Matador is also re-releasing Pavement’s complete Matador LP catalog (the band’s five studio albums as well as a 12” EP of Watery, Domestic) on L(ow) P(price) vinyl. The first four albums were previously released on premium deluxe vinyl and are still available. A deluxe version of Terror Twilight is planned for fall 2011.

Pavement’s reunion tour kicks off March 1 at Auckland Town Hall in New Zealand followed by a round of Australian dates and shows in Japan, Ireleand, France and Netherlands. In May the band tours the U.K. followed by shows in Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Norway and Sweden. In September Pavement plays a four-night stand at Rumsey Playfield/Central Park in New York Sept. 21-24.
