Breaking: Michael Jackson Doctor to Be Indicted
Attributing an anonymous law enforcement source, the Associated Press says Murray will be “prosecuted on the theory of gross negligence.”

According to the source, prosecutors will not seek the indictment until the Los Angeles Police Department follows “the formality of presenting the case to the district attorney.”
According to Murray’s own account, he discovered the singer lying in his bed and not breathing on June 25. Murray reportedly spent about 10 minutes trying to resuscitate Jackson before a member of the artist’s security detail called 911.
According to a search warrant affidavit unsealed in Houston in August, Murray told investigators he had been trying to wean Jackson off the anesthetic propofol and given the singer a lower than usual dosage the morning of the pop star’s death. Murray also said he gave Jackson several other drugs that day in order to help the singer sleep.
Murray has also said he did not prescribe or administer anything to Jackson that might have caused his death – a point that was reiterated today by Miranda Sevcik, a spokeswoman in Houston for Murray and his lawyer, Edward Chernoff. Sevcik also said the doctor had no comment on today’s report.
