How Much Did They Make?

According to Forbes, which recently published its Top-Earning Celebrity Couples list, the two took in a combined $122 million during a period measured from June 2008 through June 2009.

Sure, some of those millions were earned through music, including hits like “Single Ladies” and “Empire State Of Mind,” but Forbes points out the stars also made plenty from endorsements and clothing lines.

It’s the second time Jay-Z and Beyoncé ended up in first place on the list. However, not only were the figures different for the June-to-June span than from the previous period, but so were the amounts each person made.

Beyoncé was the bigger money maker in the marriage, earning $87 million to hubby Jay-Z’s $35 million. Both performers earned about the same amount from June 2007 through June 2008.

The couple also made less than in the previous period when they earned $162 million. But then, what’s a $40 million drop when you’re wallowing in wedded bliss?

Second place on Forbes’ list went to Harrison Ford and girlfriend Calista Flockhart for earning a combined $69 million, mostly from Ford’s latest appearance as the whip-cracking hero in “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie placed third with $55 million, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith held down the No. 4 slot with $48 million and fifth place went to David and Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham for earning $46 million.
