Finland’s HIM Targets U.S.A.

Who’s gonna rock you March through May? Could it be … HIM?

It’s looking like a good year for Finland’s HIM. The hard rock band has a new album – Screamworks: Love In Theory And Practice – arriving in stores Feb. 9 and plenty of tour dates to keep band members’ noses to the concert grindstone, including a U.S. and Canada headlining run beginning in late March.

The band puts its road shoes on beginning Feb. 20 when it tours Australia before traveling to the other side of the world for a United Kingdom stretch beginning March 13.

Then it’s across the pond, where the band begins a lengthy North America tour beginning March 25 at Philadelphia’s Theatre of Living Arts.

Other engagements include Baltimore at Sonar March 27; Boston at House Of Blues March 28; Montreal at Metropolis March 30 and Toronto at Sound Academy March 31.

April stops include Cleveland (April 1), Cincinnati (April 3), Chicago (April 9), Calgary (April 13), San Francisco (April 20) and Houston (April 30).

HIM plays Lake Buena Vista, Fla., Atlanta, Ga., and North Myrtle Beach, S.C., during the first week of May, ending up in New York City for a gig at Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza May 7.

We Are The Fallen, Dommin and Drive A support on all dates.

Ticket presales begin Jan. 20. Public on-sales begin Jan. 22 and 23. Click here for ticket info and here for the band’s Web site.
