First a quick update on “The Battle of Tonight,” According to the latest batch of rumors circulating on the Internet and elsewhere, NBC and O’Brien are close to reaching an agreement on the host’s fate.

A source close to the negotiations told ABC News that a deal could be reached any minute, with O’Brien walking away from the Peacock Network between $30 and $40 million richer and landing another network (or cable channel) by next fall. The hold up on an accord is reportedly severance packages for the staff of “The Tonight Show,” many of whom relocated from New York City to Los Angeles last year to work on “Tonight.”

Meanwhile, support for the embattled “Tonight Show” host continues to swell, as Mike Mitchell, administrator of Facebook group “I’m With Coco,” joined other fans in NYC, Chicago, L.A. and Seattle to “demonstrate support for O’Brien.”

Speaking of koo-koo Chicago, talk show diva Oprah Winfrey will be joined on tomorrow’s “Oprah” by former “Britain’s Got Talent” contestant and Internet sensation Susan Boyle, who has been exhibiting some unusual behavior again lately.

Boyle will discuss her sudden fame, as well as sing “Who I Was Born To Be,” which was written especially for her.

I’m just praying she doesn’t jump up and down on the couch. Because really, does anybody need that image burned into their cerebral cortex?
