Daughtry’s Arena Run
Launched last fall, the tour marks the first arena outing for Daughtry as its sophomore release – Leave This Town – continues to do well. It has already spawned one No. 1 single, “No Surprise,” while the album’s latest single, “Life After You,” continues to light up the charts.
The latest leg of the “Leave This Town Tour” begins March 18 in Baltimore at the 1st Mariner Arena. It’s four months of arenas from coast-to-coast with stops including the Agganis Arena at Boston University March 20; Syracuse at The War Memorial at OnCenter March 23 and Providence at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center March 26.
Cities on the schedule also include Cleveland (April 1), Milwaukee (April 7), Detroit (April 10), Reno (April 24), Fresno (April 26), Los Angeles (May 3), Seattle (May 9) and Pittsburgh (June 2). Last listing on the itinerary is Rochester, N.Y., at the Blue Cross Arena June 19.
Lifehouse is the tour’s special guest while Cavo opens on all dates.
Evidently Chris Daughtry likes playing arenas. “Growing up, you dream about singing one of your songs in front of a packed house,” the frontman said. “I still get chills when we’re playing and I hear the crowd singing louder than we are.”
Tickets for the March 18 through April 24 shows go on sale Jan. 22 and 23, and the remaining dates go up Jan. 30 and Feb. 6. Fans registered to receive the official newsletter from Daughtry’s Web site will get exclusive passwords to pre-order tickets, with the band promising that “every effort will be made” to ensure those ducats are for the “best seats in the house.” Click here for more information.
