The tour kicks off Saturday in the band’s hometown of Minneapolis with a gig at First Avenue and wraps up at The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco.

Additional dates include The Intersection – Showroom in Grand Rapids, Mich. (Jan. 25), Bogart’s in Cincinnati (Feb. 25), Fillmore New York At Irving Plaza (Feb. 3), The Prophet Bar in Dallas (Feb. 10), Rialto Theatre in Tucson, Ariz. (Feb. 13) and House Of Blues in West Hollywood, Calif. (Feb. 14).

Motion City Soundtrack then heads down under, playing Soundwave Festival Feb. 20 in Brisbane, Feb. 21 in Eastern Creek, Feb. 26 in Melbourne, Feb. 27 in Adelaide and March 1 in Perth, in addition to opening for Glassjaw Feb. 23 in Kensington and Feb. 25 in Melbourne.

After a round of Japan shows (March 4 and 7-8) and U.K. dates (March 23-March 30), the band then jumps onboard this year’s edition of Vans Warped Tour, performing in cities across the U.S., from June 24 through July 16.

My Dinosaur Life is Motion City Sountrack’s follow-up to 2007’s Even If It Kills Me and the band’s first album on a major label. The Columbia released was produced by Blink-182 bassist Mark Hoppus.

Alternative Press has praised the album as “the best of their career and easily one of the best albums of 2010 or any other year,” awarding the release a 5/5. Other publications agree that the album deserves a listen from Entertainment Weekly grading My Dinosaur Life a grade of A- and Spin raving that the “band strikes a radio-ready balance between mayhem and melody [and] may well trigger their long-awaited breakthrough.”
