Solo Wood?

His assault arrest resulted in a formal warning by police and he was recently kicked off a TV reality show. What’s next for The Rolling StonesRonnie Wood? How about a tour?

Apparently Wood was planning on the Stones touring in 2010, but since the band recently announced it has no road plans at the moment, the guitarist is contemplating putting his own group together and hitting the road.

Ronnie Wood and Ekaterina Ivanova arrive for the 2009 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Cleveland.

Quoting a friend of the guitarist, Brit tabloid Daily Express says Wood wants to get back to “what he does best.”

“He will have no trouble putting a band together,” the anonymous pal told the Daily Express. “He knows his music has been overshadowed by his personal life and he wants to get back on track. Ronnie is a musician first and foremost and touring is in his blood.”

Although no plans have been announced, you couldn’t blame Wood for trying to get his life back in order. His wife of 23 years, Jo Wood, filed for divorce in 2008 after Ronnie took up with Russian waitress Ekaterina Ivanova. The divorce became final in 2009.

Then Wood’s relationship with Ivanova went south when he was arrested in early December for suspected assault. While Wood did not face trial nor was he convicted of any charges, police did issue a formal warning.

Adding to his woes, last week Wood became the first housemate to be kicked off Britain’s “Celebrity Big Brother.”

But don’t feel too sorry for the wayward rocker. The Daily Express also reports he was recently seen with at least two young ladies while attending the PokerStars.com Masters snooker tournament at Wembley Arena.
