Mystikal Back On His Feet

Mystikal, born Michael Tyler, was released from Louisiana’s Elayn Hunt Correction Center Jan. 14 after serving six years for sexual battery and extortion.

Mystikal made his freedom known by contacting Wild Wayne, disc jockey at Louisiana radio station Q93. “My feet back on the ground,” he said. “It’s been a long time.”

The rapper, known for the mega-hit “Shake Ya Ass,” was incarcerated after pleading guilty to forcing his female hairstylist to perform sex acts.

Two of his bodyguards also pleaded guilty. The hairstylist said Mystikal threatened to turn her over to the police for cashing $80,000 in checks from his bank account or agree to the acts. Mystikal has five years of probation and has to be registered as a sex offender.
