Rothbury A No Go

Rothbury festival, which was held July 2-5 in western Michigan, will not make a return appearance this year, but it has nothing to do with the economy, according to organizers.

Rothbury, which is produced by Madison House Presents and AEG Live, won’t come together this year because of various artists’ recording and touring schedules, according to a statement.

“The result for this year is that we are not able to move forward with the integrity and high standards that we demand from ourselves and the festival,” Madison House’s Jeremy Stein said in a statement.

Rothbury 2011, on the other hand, is still viable.

“Our efforts are certainly not coming to an end,” Stein said.

The last two years, Rothbury took place at the Double JJ Ranch & Resort, which shifted owners between the first and second event. Last year’s Rothbury featured The Dead, Bob Dylan, String Cheese Incident and Willie Nelson.
