Proof Is In the Pudding For Timberlake

What do you give someone who’s already received six Grammys and two Emmys? How about a pot of pudding?

As in Harvard’s Hasty Pudding Man of the Year award. Today, Hasty Pudding Theatricals, the nation’s oldest undergraduate drama troupe, announced Justin Timberlake is the latest recipient of the coveted prize, taking his place in history alongside past Man of The Year recipients such as James Franco (2009), Christopher Walken (2008) and Martin Scorcese (2003).

In selecting Timberlake, the troupe described the artist as “one of pop culture’s most influential entertainers.”

While Timberlake’s Grammy awards include 2004’s Best Pop Vocal Album for Justified and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for “Cry Me A River,” you may not remember his two Emmy wins. His first came in 2007 when he shared the Outstanding Music and Lyrics award for the “Saturday Night Live” ditty  “Dick In A Box.” He received his second Emmy in 2006 for hosting SNL.

But Timberlake wasn’t the only person immortalized in pudding. The acting troupe named actress Anne Hathaway as its Woman of the Year recipient.

Timberlake will receive the award during a roast scheduled for Feb. 5. For more information, click here for the Hasty Pudding Theatricals Web site.
